I am a mother who is almost 50 years old and have a hard time opening emails I received some pop ups from this company on THursday 1st of This Month - They told me I had malware and other such items on my computer. As I could not contact my son, who has been in network support / Admin for over 9 years I agreed for them to look at my computer. As soon as I found out about this I placed a call to them and they could not tell me exactly what they found only that "there could be malware or harmful software" and "the computer isn't adequately protected" MY SON checked my computer and informed me that is running the latest version of Microsoft Security Essentials and after a full scan (which my son did) nothing was found and there was no historic events listed.
This company is a SCAM a real BIG SCAM, its taking advantage on those people like me who are illiterate on computers. I think it is dishonest and they SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. They might be a legitimate company BUT they are TRICKING people into spending the money with those POP up warnings that make non tech savy people call in. I am going to look into what actions I can take against them for the 200.00 they basically stole from me.
