After corresponding with a girl for 6 weeks, I requested contact info. When I received it, nothing worked - no phone, QQ. Nothing. I confronted her and the excuses started. I called her a liar and that she was working for the agency just to make money. She agreed to a video chat. When we got on, I realised it was a different girl. I complained to Qpid, sent photos, correspondence, screen shot of video chat. They admitted there was some reasonable doubt as to the girls identity. They promised a special refund, that never eventuated. This site is a scam, and nothing more than money making scheme. You will never meet the girl in the photos, and you will just correspond to a translator.

I am Jozsef from Hungary, living in the UK. I had similar experience and I have got the same suspicion as you do. I spent over a couple of hundred $s on the QPID network with very little result. I strongly think the QPID network is a very efficient money making scam device ripping off many man. Some of the ladies may not even exist it may be automated regarding many of the chat box messages are similar, varies very little and keeps flashing up rather frequently. I exchanged e-mails with two so called ladies and I phoned one of them. There was no progress in getting to know each other there was no real interest in me. All they do to make enough effort to get the men's attention and they keep cleverly faking it manipulating people to think there is a chance here to get to know genuine ladies. I also realised they manipulate some of the women's photos by computer technology to make them look more perfect.
They have very aggressive marketing tactics. They have a new service if you allow them unlimited number of so called ladies can make phone calls to you in unlimited number and you need to foot the bill. I hope nobody will ever be carried away so much with this website to do something so stupid. It would surely cost hundreds of dollars in a day as they are very expensive.
I also have to add I shared quite intimate information about myself and my feelings during our e-mails and phone call then she sent me messages in the chat box that made me come to the conclusion that she was actually having a laugh at me instead of real interest and it was so cleverly executed that it wasn't easy to figure this out.
I am deeply disappointed in QPID network scamming people and do not recommend this to anybody.
Beware! There are some very clever scammers out there to manipulate people using high level of psychology.
I am sorry about your experience and I feel for everybody going through this.
