I'm at fault some for not paying attention to my cell phone bill the way I should but I was just looking at it because I just logged into my Sprint account because I would like to get my daughter a new phone for Christmas. Lo and behold - there is a $9.99 monthly charge showing from some Dada.... motime.com subscription which was never signed up for attached to my minor son's phone number. I went back - I have been paying this for 10 months. I asked him and he says mom you know I asked you what I was suppose to do when I get those types of messages and I have just been hitting delete. I believe him, in looking at his phone he does not have any extra bells and whistles for ringtones, wallpapers, etc. At this point, I call motime and I get the response well he must have signed up for it and there is nothing we can do except cancel his subscription and block any future texts we would send to this number. Still a bit peeved, I call Sprint. The person I talked to was amazing and blocked all 5 of the phones on my account from receiving these premium texts - yeah! And then Sprint offers to refund two months of the service fee. I've always been very happy with the service I have received from Sprint - but I really have to wonder if Sprint get's any kickback when these services get tacked onto our phone bills. I made my point when talking to the Rep that it would be nice if they would not allow just anyone to charge my Sprint account - it is not a credit card that my son, who doesn't know how to access the account, should be able to authorize charges against. As for Motime - and all the other SCAMS out there - please quit taking advantage of children and others for your personal gain and please refund the money I have spent for a service that has not been used because we didn't even know we had it or were paying for it! I have nothing against subscription services and I have used many of them throughout my life but when I am being charged for something that was probably an accidental hit of a single button from some message received by a young kid I have to say - UNETHICAL!
