Thanks to the complaints I found lodged against the Freelotto company, I avoided falling victim to a huge scam. I too received a text message averring that I had won a large sum of money. Upon further inquiry I was sent a certificate, PDF attachment and congratulatory email from a Brian Calton who gave weird instructions on how to claim the money etc-that's when I "smelled a rat". When I googled the man's name I found a complaint about him listed on scambook.com
