I was with my sister at the airport when we accidentally locked our keys in her car where my much needed medicine in the glovebox!.. I hop on my phone google local locksmiths, I find fidelity locksmiths. I called to get a price range for what it'll cost to get in the car. They said $29.99 + labor. I'm thinking grear deal! Give them the go ahead to come out. It took 2 hours before the tech came out, in that 2 hours we youtubed videos to see how to get in our make model car, saw that it was so easy we could do it ourself a nice man who used to drive a tow truck saw us and jumped in with a crow bar and wire hanger, just as we almost have it open the tech shows up and we drop our hanger and crow bar and decide to let the pro do it. He gets out of an unmarked SUV, hardly spoke english he looked in our car for 2 seconds looks up and says $175 to open the door. I say no way you guys said $30! I call the dispatch office and tell the guy who said 30$ that he's asking for $175 that we don't have that amount and I need my medication for my autoimmune condition that's in the car, it was freezing outside and I had already been out in the cold 2+ hours already. The tech said 30$ is only for the dispatch of the tech... The tech determines labor. I obviously enraged that they are refusing to open the car for the $30! The tech says okay 75$ as if that would be a major discount that I'd be hard pressed to find it for cheeper. At this point its the moral of the situation. You don't let a obviously ill person be locked out in the cold when you can help. I refused to pay that even. I told him that this customer service is unreal and I'll be filing a report with the police for the trying to scam us. He said, "I don't care about your costumer service I'm a tech, you pay or no?" I said NO! He walks away saying nothing gets in the car, i quickly take down his plates and texted his plates to him so he knows I would be calling the cops for him speeding out of the parking lot almost running people over. He texts me back saying he called the cops on us and reported us braking into a car! Our car! My sister calls another company they arrive in 15 mins tell us $65 open the door in less then 10 seconds! (my husband had to drive 1 hour over SF bridge toll, pay the airport parking fees, then give us $40. Since we had at this time been parked 8 hours we had to pay $30 in parking on top.) In the end it cost over $175 to get our keys out of our car.)I texted the tech back saying tell your boss we got serviced for $65 and to rethink the hardpressed to find it cheaper and informed him I'm now sick and on my way to the ER. He responds with let me compensate you with dinner! You are so beautiful you make me feel bad, please go to dinner with me. Okay, add sexual harrassment to the list of insults. I called the manager first thing in the morning and told him all of this. His response was, "so you had one of our tech come out and you didn't pay him the $30 service fee? Then the real problem is you owe US 30$........... Seriously. I called the cops and filed a sexual harrasment report against them, my next task, BBB. Something has to stop these guys from scamming people who clearly are in a desperate state of need already. If I had not watched that youtube video and saw how easy it was, we'd have lost 175$ to scam artist. I'm happy my money is not in their pockets even if I had to STILL pay $175 total just to get out of the airport!
