When I got home from work my son told me that a gentleman with a strong east Indian accent has been calling all day, starting at 8:15 in the morning. I was home to receive his 5:30 PM call. He said I had asked for information on government grants a while back, and I said, yes, but I am not interested in going back to school now. He said that's ok, this could be used to pay off or buy a house, for medical bills, for my business, or just for personal use. Then he asked again what I would use it for. Having a hard time understanding him, I asked if he was calling from withing the United States, and he replied, "Utah." He said several things, but I did get that he said something about a fee, and I said that the government doesn't charge for grants (although I am not sure about that). He then said the grant money is free, but this is just a registration fee that would get me a name and password to access my account. I told him to forget it. I then got online to see if it was legit.
