I went to change my and my boyfriend's address with the USPS. We did not have our internet setup so I had to use my smartphone to complete this task. I googled "USPS change of address" and was brought to a website which I thought was the official USPS. I entered all my information, as well as my credit card information to pay the $1.00 fee that the USPS charges you for changing your address online.

Within a few hours, I received an email from "Moving Concierge" saying thank you for your order, here is our free service, etc.

I was very confused and the next day when I went to check my bank account online, I saw I received two charges from "usp-change of address" for $39.95.

I had no idea this was not the actual USPS website. I was charged $79.95 when I should have been charged $2.00.

I am beyond furious. As these people don't seem to have a US address or any US affiliation, I do not even know how I can seek retribution.

  • I was charged $39.95 on my VISA bill. There was a contact phone number with the charge. I called that number, 855-420-6844, and they agreed to credit my account the amount charged and told me there won't be any additional charges. This really seems like a scam, as the rep I spoke to told me people usually sign up when they google USPS to change address. Shame on them! Hope this info helps.
