Caught this one before I was scammed, thought I would post this for everyone else to look out for it.
[email protected] contacted me on a wedding dress posting on craigslist saying, "Hi, do you still have the wedding dress available for sale? Please respond you can text me (515) 992-6281". I responded twice via email and didn't receive a response so I sent a text. The person whose email identified them as roberts logan or logan roberts responded back via text only very early in the morning around 5a my time or 6a. They would take several days to respond back and when they did respond they would continue to ask me the same questions as I had already answered in previous text messages. They asked what the price was and I told them that I wanted $800 for the dress but we could decide on a firm price once they had a chance to look over the dress. They responded by saying they were fine with the price and asked if I would accept a cashier's check. I said cash only and a couple days later they said this, "i can only send you payment through cashier check once the check is clear you got the fund from bank. shipper will come for the pick up." I told them my post was for local inquiries only and that I wasn't interested in becoming a victim of a scam.
