We received a letter with the letterhead of Singapore Company Register, dated: 2013-11-08 posted to us stated that it was for verification purposes, without sign off in name and stated as Information Services as well as a given deadline (in bold) stated to adhere to with (such a) letterhead that has intention to mislead. As we do not possess all knowledge of the local authorities to take notice of the company’s intention, we went ahead to perform the “required task” of providing our “missing” information in its-said “Singaporean Company Register database” so that our company’s information will not be “deleted” from the “Singaporean Company Register database”.

We do not think that it is reasonable and purposeful to be listed in another database since there is no such governing requirement to register in the “Singaporean Company Register database”. We do not, as well, find it reasonable to be “automatically” included in the “Singaporean Company Register database” without our acknowledgement and acceptance.

We believed that we were being led to perform the login using the details of a provided Username and Password on recorded time 2013-11-19 17:42:18. We did so for the purpose of checking if it is mandated by local government to verify and/ or provide additional details and not to be “automatically” included into a privately owned “Singaporean Company Register database”.

We managed to get through to them via email and gotten the response that we can only "unsubscribe" ourselves from their database after 2014 and this S$490 is for subscription annual fee to be listed in their data base.

We are still requesting to remove ourselves from their database and for them to cancel this invoice to us.
