Security at Manchester Airport

Having to go through airport security I placed my liquids on top of my coat but separately to my handbag and then queued up to be go to the body scanner. As I was going through the scanner I noticed that my liquids bag was being removed from my tray but I am not sure where to. When I finally completed the body scan after having to take my shoes off and have the soles of my bare feet scanned, I went to collect my belongings but my husband had already gathered what he thought were all my belongings from the 2 trays I filled. Once I reached my destination I noticed my liquids were missing and called Manchester Airport immediately (within 5 hours) - they could not trace it but told me to check at lost property on return. I did this but no luck. I also called and they reviewed security tapes where they noted that the liquids were put in a separate tray by security, went down a different side of the security aisles but then they cannot determine what happened to them. I was going to a diplomats dinner (first time ever in my life) and had taken my new perfume and best cosmetics which I dont normally do...all were lost and never found. travel insuraance doesnt cover full value and Manchester Airport have no liability. Message - PLS WATCH YOUR STUFF CAREFULLY - THEY LURE YOU AWAY AND PREVENT YOU FROM PACKING YOUR STUFF WHILE YOU ARE FRISKED BUT THEY HAVE NO LIABILITY
