When ordering an unlock for difficult carriers, and after the normal timeframe has been exceeded, a notification is sent with the message below, stating the iPhone is supposedly marked as barred/blacklisted/blocked, even though the phone is not.

Several times, I have ordered an unlock for perfectly clean, not reported, not blacklisted iPhones locked to a difficult carrier, with evidence from checkmend and carrier's customer support, and officialiphoneunlock will fail to unlock it claiming it is blocked.

As a consequence, they refuse to honor their 100% money back guarantee, but every time they are 'generous' enough to credit a trade account to use for other unlocks. Therefore, stating the iPhone is blacklisted is a convenient strategy not to provide refund and effectively keeping your money, even though the failure is theirs.
