TXU offers a Home Service Warranty thru Cross Country. WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!! My mother is disabled and on a fixed income. Before agreeing to this service she told them her A/C was old. They assured her it would be covered. The A/C went out and we called them. The technician came out immediately. Looked at the A/C unit (spent about FIVE minutes inspecting it) then told my mother it was irrepairable! They would have to replace the unit. He collected the $60.00 deductible and said they would call us the next day. They never called!! When we called them we were told it was not covered under warranty because the condensor was clogged. 2 weeks later (after spending money on a hotel room and also window units) my nephew came by and looked at the unit. A wire to the capacitor was not getting a connection. He reconnected the wire and the A/c came right on and working great.
