I joined ebay on the same day I won the bid! I was looking for a specific item, Office 2007 proffesional.
The selling price showed $50, zero bids at the time and the seller's address was a local.
I joined ebay there and then, contacted the seller to ask if they
accept cash. They responded almost imediately. Then there appeared 1 bid! and a few hours to go.
I made my bid in the last 45 seconds, and was out bidded by the first bidder. I upped my bid to $95.00 in the last 15 seconds and won the bid. $92.50.
I met the seller at their place of work and bought the item. I 2 cd set, box and booklets.
But the cd will not install. I tried everything. I then askeda computer shop owner and he mentioned it might be a fake as this goes on all the time on ebay.
I checked and sure enough, the cd's are fake because of the holographs as described on how to tell the fake from the real.
I am now out of pocket and I survive on a pension.
These scammers and probably the person I met who I paid is not aware they have been scammed to. The problem really is, that this type of thing may go to low-lifes who are losers that get washed away like crap in the rain, who are terrorist and child slave labour merchants.
