I was contacted by this company saying I had taken a payday loan in 2009, made three payments and then stopped making payments. They claim they have sent me multiple letters but have not received any response from me. When I asked for proof of the debt, they became very rude and even started yelling at me. At this point, I hung up, called my attorney who promptly contacted them and directed them send all communication through them. They didn't call for two weeks but then I got another call today with a settlement offer, and essentially had the same conversation. They keep saying they are going to file a case against me in 24 hours but that hasn't happened yet and it's been a month.
