I am a college student who was looking to make some extra money. I got on Craigslist and there was an add about housecleaning. There were two actually and they said they were moving here from Europe and they worked for the United Nations and their wives had been in car accidents and one was wheelchair bound while the other was recovering. They both said they had young children and they needed me to help their wives run errands and clean the house and help watch the kids. I am from Gulfport, MS and there is a UN center in New Orleans so the story was believable. I am not the first person this has happened to. I am the victim and they are making me pay. This is unfair and Craigslist should have a better way of watching over who puts adds on Craigslist. Like me so many other people have lost money. It is very close to the holidays and I have bills I need to pay and presents to buy. Because of these guys I have to pay back almost $3,000.00 dollars. I have all of the email conversations between these guys. And fraudulent checks there has got to be somebody out there who can get these guys and help restore the monies people have lost.
