My sons podiatrist referred him to Dynasplint. He suggested 2 different splints. The rep came to our house and said it would cost $174 a month and we could do auto debit. He said most insurance companies don’t cover the splints. There was NO discussion of it costing more. It was simply the $174. Then we got a late notice. Apparently, they did bill through insurance but it all went towards our deductible. So now, these braces are $600 a month. We had had them for 2 months. When I contacted the rep he said he’d look into it. I had already spoken with billing. So he called me later and said, “if you remember, I said you had a 70/30 insurance” and “if you remember, I said it was important to sign into the portal to view your invoices “
He was simply saying what billing had told him. None of these things were discussed. Never was it implied that we may owe more. It was simply said that 174$ was all it would cost us.
