We didn't realize it until a few months after we bought out 2011 honda odyssey. This is the only vehicle where the battery is purposely made inaccesible for the lay person to change out. They placed the battery under a hugh hard plastic inlet hose for the engine. In order to remove the battery, you would have to remove this giant hose. What's more, the screws on the hose aren't the regular kind. It needs the kind of equipment a mechanic would have. It appears Honda has done this purposely to force people to pay the dealership just to change out a dead battery.
