I received a check in the mail for $1995.12 with instructions to paid a survey for western union for $1635.12 mail it to Mary Owen 121 New Castle England. then I was instructed to go shopping at wal-mart ans J.C. Penny and then fax a evaluation form to Fax no. 1-419 745 5555. I was to keep 300.00 for myself.

I recieved the exact same thing, only my check was for $1994.27. I contacted the First Niagra Bank:
Cheshire Branch
1157 Highland Avenue
Cheshire, CT 06410
(203) 271-1508

And they said it was a fradulent check.

I just received a letter in the mail asking me to keep the $300, deposit the $1,994.36 check into my account and phone for instructions to Western Union Money to shop at Wal Mart and Kmart or J.C. Penny and the fax number was the same 1-419-745-5555. HOWEVER the name on my letter says "GRT CONSUMER RESEARCH & MANAGEMENT INC." I AM SO GLAD TO HAVE FOUND THIS BY SEARCHING THE INTERNET.

I received a similiar letter and check in the mail yesterday for $1, 984.23 from Harleysville Consumer Research & Management Inc with the same instructions that kkris101 received. Figured it was bogus, for sounded too good to be true. Fax number the same also 1-419-745-5555. Check was drawn on First Niagra Bank, Buffalo NY also. I too am glad I found this by searching the internet.
