Funny thing, I worked that scam magazine company called Chapel Sales back in 2007/2008 for 7 months, they changed their named to Millennium sales and I'm sure it was because many people reported them online as a scam and i wouldn't be surprised if they changed it again. Feel even more bad for the people they hire, because if they don't have much at home, they get treated like (Inappropriate Content Removed) by these people when they don't make their qoutas and people even got beat up there, managers threaten physical harm, they make fun of you for not selling enough of those bogus subscriptions that no one receives anyway. They aren't even affiliated with actual publishers. I think they order subscriptions themselves and sale those for way higher profit. I had no idea they were ripping people off til one woman I sold a book to sent me an email telling me she didn't receive her book( I gave her my email address). I felt bad, and when I told my supervisor, she basically says the same things the people with the 1 800 numbers say, it's going to take a while, or their order wasn't in the system yet, then if customers keep calling, they just don't answer the number, or have the numbers changed. I believe the people who do get their orders are people who threaten the company enough for them to send them what they paid for. Now the company I worked for had us going door to door in different local areas in big cities with nothing but a wallet looking type folder, with receipts and a pin as well as some kinder garden looking booklet listing all the books and magazines they supposedly have. They didn't care about our safety either sending us out even late at night I'm talking til 11pm and midnight. The people whose door we knock on at those times were more concerned. And people even got robbed walking around with a booklet that looks like a wallet filled with cash(they sent us to ghetto areas pretty risky). Leaving was the best thing that happened to me, cuz I had a family to go home to and I get a decent amount of money now unlike when I was working with them. And I wish I could rub that in their faces since they like to think that because people working for them who don't make their qoutas are broke and worthless(how could they make those qoutas when so many people know they are a scam and the prices are ridiculously high?) See me, I immediately look up names of companies and see if there are contact numbers or a legit website. And you even have to do more research than that not to mention should be approved through the Better Business Bureau. Companies like this make me paranoid to buy anything overseas, because it is almost hard to keep up with these scammers here. They always choose people from states far from the state their office is in. And by the time they leave that state(the workers that do the selling) that's around the time customers are supposed to start receiving their purchases and most of them don't.

Don't know if she still works with them. But when I was their, she said she was with them for 12 years and she hired me. And they are supposed to provide you transportation when you want to leave as they do when they hire you. But that was years ago I just want to (Inappropriate Content Removed) on them.

  • So I just bought a stupid magazine subscription from millennium sales and I think i got scammed. I gave him the 36 dollars cash and then he leaves so when I look at the receipt I notice it says i paid 36 cash and then I need to mail in more! Wth. So I sent in the cancel thing in the mail right after he left and I hope I get my money back.

  • THERE IS TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY"you must remember that all agents are independent contractors and it is their sole responsibility to properly and accurately explain and close an order. There are several cases when an agent will not totally or properly explain the closing just to make a quick sales that leaves the customer in limbo waiting of their purchase while not knowing they had to mail their balance first to receive it in other cases some greedy manipulative agent will steal the order and keep the money and not until the company receives a full complaint and make an investigation which in some case may take awhile because the agent threw away the order but today the tracking number on the receipts that the client keeps will still help us track down the agent because even if they wrote a fake name the number on the receipt will show who had that receipt. Again it is not a clearing house's main goal to screw their customers over they would b=never stay in business if so it is those who are hired and intrusted to say and do the right thing that a company relies on and in many cases several companies have felt the raft of unroly disrespectful lying cheating employee's One must remember that every individual is their own person and what tempts or convinces a person to steal lie cheat or scam others for their own personal private greedy gain is what's been boggling the minds of experts in the field of studying human behavior for many many years to the point where their actions affects either the company school or organization they work for or are a part of and also may create a ripple affect that's been known to destroy reputations and lives

  • P/2) The sad thing is that when irresponsible reckless individuals create those problems like employee's of fast food chains tampering with the foods they prepare or cashiers stealing money or credit card info's to wall street scams bankers, investment brokers to even door to door sales people lying stealing or misrepresenting the company & product then often times the losers are the clients and the company , the clients may lose their money the company not only may get sued but also receive bad record with the BBB the consumer reports bad publicity etc, and the end result is not only poor ratings but loss of clients and cancellations .
    So YES many companies should take responsibility for the actions of their employee's and often times they may implement new rules strict business practices do background checks etc but if a person is a ticking time bomb and they for what ever reason in their personal private lives plan to become reckless or destructive there's really nothing anyone can really do and I'm saying all this because the outdoor direct sales marketing industry even though has been around for over 100 years has taken a beating and it's reputation tarnished by shady companies or individuals that have no regards for anyone but themselves but again PLEASE do not throw out the whole bushel over a few bad apples"

The direct sales marketing publication company has been around for over 100 years now and had many reliable repeat customers and blame comes from all sides in the company from the sales person to their managers for allowing or not enforcing stricter policies on what and how to's to even the clearing house reps not properly following suit on trouble shooting a clients order so I'm not trying to find excuses for them all I'm saying is that in many cases people have done well with the company while in many households nationwide families have enjoyed several popular peridicals and publications by which they have used to educate their children and for that reason kept buying from the company but as generation passes and these fast paced times changes people begin to try and reinvent the wheel and change the basics because they believe it is better or quicker to their advantage and when one begins to try and change the process by where the company or organization was founded on trouble follows

  • we gotta remember that this type of industry is a world within a world and while living traveling and working together in a close family like community type environment people's true colors will soon begin to show their likes habits true personalities etc while thinking of that let's look at this matter a little further:Our sales reps are independent contractors they make their income by commission only with daily and weekly cash bonuses set up as an incentive to help people progress and do better and also an opportunity to win company cash awards. Now even though we teach daily seminars for free on how to handle rejections or keep a postive attitude some people still can't handle rejections they cave in to peer pressure others have or may develop bad habits and some may result into lying to the customer to make the sales or misrepresentation stealing etc.When the company finds out they give warnings but these problematic agents now begin to partake in inappropriate activities while still on the crew like drinking smoking weed or taking other drugs getting into fights with their peers so since they were walking a type rope they now get fired and sent home so many leave with no money because they were already in the red squandring their earnings with bad habits and choices or screwing up receiving complaints and cancellations etc so rather than blaming themselves for their downfalls setbacks or failures they blame the company or organization because in many cases they are ashamed of going back home to their families without nothing to show for

  • Now the company took a loss by providing room & board and even though they were not producing they would still receive monetary draws and week end advances so when they finally leave the company took a loss but over all it is an investment and a write off and many reps turn out to be great sales people and a benefit to the industry and themselves
    But again when these faling agents are sent home or fired rather than taking responsibility for their screw ups they blame the company or organization by saying they didn't pay them or treated them unfair or worked them like slaves or anything to plead their case or pass the blame,I do understand to an extent that the company bares certain responsibility for their employee's behaviors but when a person is acting negative they will tend to react in a reckless manner with no regards tro anyone but themselves they try to blame everyone even society for their failures rather than checking themselves.

  • if you didn't get your purchase I'm sorry to hear that and you should have followed suit to the end by mailing your copy in and requesting your money back and if you did that and still got no response then someone from within the clearing house dropped the ball and maybe that's why a major clean up and re-vamp of the company was done later but again over all this is a great company and good source of income for many individuals to excel and learn to become business people or be independent but again when dealing with people your bound to come up with issues and problems some good some bad in it's not just in our industry but in everything from business education politics entertainment religion family and even relationship and the small percentage of problematic people in them is not to say that they're all bad it's just unfortunately part of the ying yang of life like day & night good & bad negative and positive

  • Lilb09 I do hope that works out for you. It's sad the company does little to prevent their employees from scamming people if the company it'self isn't a scam. Which leads me to you MESSAGEMAN, do you work for Millennium Sales Inc? If you do, it is your company's duty to weed out those agents who deceive your customers. Mind you, I worked for the company. However, I never participated in stealing sales from these people who I had hoped got their books and magazines. I always work honestly which is why I am happily employeed now, been working since I left that company, and make an honest living. You can say and confirm what i've acknowledged about your employees, that they are liars, thieves and buy drugs, but these are YOUR employees. Indpendent contractors or not, if you want your company to stop getting commplaints, do something about your work process and check your workers because at the end of the day, they report back to you with their orders from customers. Does Robert and Dre still work for you? Two of the main thieves who taught newer employees how to "pink slip" (offer the customer to pay the diposit as the total price and not tell them about the balance and give them the wrong receipt with a fake name). You guys give them accolades every morning in those meetings as if they actually made all those sales honestly. Yet the complaints keep flowing in. Workers your trusted and even i trusted as friends told me what they would do and how others who became top sellers so quickly started to do the same thing. Remember Stanley? Mike? even the females like Mesha. I mean, I've worked with those people and they didn't make sales, but when working alone, they had their qoutas all of a sudden. You managers were cruel to your employees regardless of their behaviors. if they don't do the job, send them home, not belittle them. Your managers would call them degrading names, let others degrade them if they didn't mmet their qoutas. Your people created the monsters.

  • Unless you work for that company MESSAGEMAN, you can't defend them. Not every independent contractor is a scam artist, I know that but your company Millennium Sales Inc is. I've ran into ex workers who confirmed the same things I did, how customers compalined about not receiving their books, and how the company changes their contact numbers constantly, and the 1 800 reps don't resolve those issues, just prolong a lie that the order will be taken care of. For a 100 year experienced company, you sure do get away with profiting from stolen money pretty good, I'll give you that. And you pay the price to recruit these employees, yet the ones who want to leave, you have them pay their own way back home. That fat cow Mavis didn't want me to leave, and would not pay for my trip back home. One of my relatives had to do it. I was fed up and done with this company. the only thing I did wrong was date a loser there. But to be bullied by managers, other employees(they also stole my personal belongings whenever we had to move from the hotels we stayed in). But nothing was ever done. I told Mavis who did it, and that person was rooming with me, she did nothing. I lost my valuables as these customers lose their money. But no matter how much these nasty managers and workers belittled me when I didn't make my qouta, I was happy i didn't steal and lie to customers to do it. But your meetings suck and the prices on those books and magazines are ridiculous and way over priced. If you want honest business, sale them cheaper and make sure people get them. Check your employees out, have them work with an honest individual(if you have any) who will watch them close the orders correctly). Also stop sending people out late nights endangering their safety. You never mentioned any of that in your long message to me. You endanger your workers! Yet you throw them under the bus for poor business when you are a poor business?

  • Bottom line, do something about your bad apples not claim there's nothing you can do. You can, it's your business, and you take the down fall for bad business. You chose to keep the bad apples that make their qouta(even if they steal orders) because that money is needed to keep your business going. You need it to travel, buy luxury and recruit more people. Shame on you!

  • Btw MESSAGEMAN, you copied and paste your comments from a site YOUR company posted as YOUR defense. Want a real defense? Get approved by the Better Business Bureau! Then you have the never to have a picture with a sign that says "Don't hate what you don't understand" That is a slap in your customers face. First off, people like Biggie whatever that flamming fat man calls himself must have came up with that. Your managers and employees that steal for you love flaunting money and buying expensive products and luxury to show for the people they scammed. You also negleted to mention that part. The new employees that developed the habits to steal and do drugs or whatever reckless behaviors you mentioned, they learned this from your top sellers which I stated. They are pressured by your top thieves to get that sell at any cost. So don't blame the workers who left whom you can deal without. Blame the ones who are still there whom you praise every morning for their false advertisment and dishonest sales.

  • the bedtter business bureau is just another shake down company forcing you to pay high rate or they will bully you intro giving you a bad grade , look up BBB bullies or mafia and you will see for your self so that does not help your defense also , again there is good & bad in every field profession religion school and even family and see are working to rid the bed and clean up the industry but it takes a lot to get this done and sometimes it may take awhile but we have also instituted the BEWARE OF SCAMS notice onj our sites and credentials which states the following: Please make sure to confirm the accuracy of your receipts by checking it thoroughly that the order is written legibly and that the member's name is the same on the receipt as their I.D's .
    Make sure the sales person gave you your cancellation notice in the event you decide to want to cancel you have up to three business days to do so.
    If you just made a deposit to your order make sure YOU understand your balance which should be mailed in within 10 business days before receiving your order, Make sure the sales person gives you a balance receipt and envelope to mail your balance .
    If you suspect any problems with your order or the sales person please email us with your concerns or complaint and we will forward it A.S.A.P. to the clearing house.
    IMPORTANT
    We do not accept hand outs donations or contributions of any kind so if any member of our organization tells you that any amount of money you give them will equal to points towards their contest it's a LIE and so please refrain from doing so.
    A potential customer can DONATE a book or magazine subscription to someone only if their paying the total cost and if you choose to do so please make sure you look over and carefully read the receipt and that you are given a receipt indicating that the total is fully paid and that you have no balance.

    Also remember if you've mazde a deposit to a purchase it takes 90 to 120 days before you receive your publications so please be patient and wait to see when you get your books before posting a complaint on out of gossip following the monkey see monkey do concept
