Today I rec'd an envelope with only my info on it. It didn't have a return address or anything. I opened it to find a check for 4976.50. It said to deposit check then call Montel Ariza so they can activate my 200,000.00 winnings and the check was to cover administration fees and insurance provided by their sponsors which are familiar stores which makes it sound good. I knew it was a scam. Times are hard and no one sends out checks these days. So I call and the so called Montel answers. I asked how I won because i never entered a drawing. He said I entered at a Walmart store an I had won. I asked if it was a scam? lol and he said no just deposit the check. They dont want any personal info like your bank account just cash the check. I asked him if he worked from home because it was so quiet. He said no he was in an office. I asked for his supervisors name, he was hesitatant but said Frank Lanpard. When I asked for a phone number to contact him he hung up. People....an evelope with no return address should clearly be a major sign of fraud and scam related activity. If in doubt when a check for thousands come in the mail, alway call the BBB or google it. Thats what I did an I found all of you. Good luck in this cruel world. Have safe and blessed holidays.
