I was paying $435.00, per month in rent. A new Property management co, was appointed to our building. The rent was lowered to $385.00, per month, and new leases were signed by the above mentioned Company. (Except me.) Now the above mentioned Company are refusing to sign a new reduced lease with me. While everyone else are paying $385.00, for their apartments, in this building, I am paying $435.00, per month, for my apartment. I want my $200.00 back, for back over-rent pay.

Update: 04/05/2012

As soon as that lease ended, you signed a new lease with US at a lower rent. Incorrect. It was four (4) months later that I signed a new lease. Thus, I was over-paying $50.00, per month, on my lease, for over four(4) months. (The old lease.)

  • James, I don't see how this is a scam or why you would be upset about this? You paid $435 per month for over 2 years, before we took over the property and LOWERED your rent to $385 when you signed your new lease. Most people would be pleased about that.   • James, we LOWERED your rent. If you signed a lease 2 years ago with another management company and the rent was higher back then, that is hardly a scam by us. Most people would be delighted if a new management company lowered their rent. I have no idea why you are unhappy about this.

  • A grave injustice has been committed here. Why would it take four (4) months, to sign a new lease? $435.00,-$385.00, = $50.00 X 4months of rent, =$200.00. Why wasn't the new rent of $385.00, available on October 1St, 2011? What a scam that was to make me wait four (4) months, to pay the reduced rent of $385.00. Sincerely, James Nile.
