International boundaries

Recieved pop-up on computer saying that Windows Security Alerts were cancelled and that my computer was infected with trojans and viruses. I was instructed to activate the companys antivirus payable bycredit card in order to clean out the infection. Later checking on Google, I found out that this was a scam.
