Jack Ramos and "Mikey" (914) 437-4985 sold me on a low price of $850 move from NY to SC. The phone number is the cell phone I believe he uses to call you. He spoke in "cubic feet". I gave a detailed list of the items to be moved (which was the entire 3 bedroom house) and he sent the email agreement.
On arrival, after packing a few things in boxes from the family room and putting 5 or 6 furniture pieces, "Joe" the "foreman" said the sofa couch would be $400 and started to price each article of furniture. He said he would ship everything to SC for $6,500.00.
I told him to take everything he put in the truck out and return it to the house. He said it would cost me $1,000.00 for him to do so.
Long story, short, my few packed items are now being held "ransom" in an unknown location for $1,000.00.
I called my attorney and after a thorough search on Long Distance Van Lines, Queens, he said to call the police. This company really does not exist!!!
I filed a police report for theft of furniture.
The telephone number is now disconnected.
