We entered into a deal with SACHS MARKETING GROUP to do SEO work for our e-commerce website, he was supposed to work for a percentage of our sales and also get a monthly retainer ON TOP of an initial $1000 that we paid him that he said he needed to have graphics created for our our social media pages and other initial tweaks, he charged us $400 (per hour) for the crappiest graphics EVER (my lawyer barely makes $400 an hour!) we told him that we had to approve the work PRIOR to him using any money to pay for it, and that we were VERY DISPLEASED!! Our graphics guy did a better job and only charged us $35 !!
Furthermore, he decided he could not ( and did not want to) do what he promised us, at which time he should have given us our money back right then and there, he backed out of the deal, and promised to pay us back the $1000.
He kept giving us excuse after excuse that he was broke, he said he would pay us back week after week, and when we asked for the money he told us he would not take food out of his kids moths to pay us back?? HOW UNPROFESSIONAL IS THAT??? It is now about 4 months later,2 days ago he said "I have just mailed out your check" today, after he saw that I had reported him on several scam sites,(funny that just now he has had an epiphany to check for such listings?) he informed me that he "pulled back the check from his mailbox this morning" HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE if he mailed it 2 days ago? How would it be sitting there waiting for the mail carrier to pick it up for 2 days mid-week? BECAUSE YET AGAIN, HE NEVER MAILED IT!!! He is upset that I have reported him to scaminfomer and the BBB and is using this as his new excuse NOT to pay us back now.

  • Here's what really happened:

These people were referred to me by a friend. They were starting a new clothing company and didn't have the ability to pay a monthly fee for marketing services and (against my better judgement) I agreed to a revenue share agreement. Their website wasn't done yet because they were involved in a dispute with the web designer who was doing their site (should have been my first clue). Their web designer was holding their camera and images hostage for some reason - not my business. They also wanted me to optimize their Facebook and Twitter pages to include graphics and other optimization efforts. They agreed to give me $1,000 to cover all hard costs. My time was not being compensated. They paid me the $1000 & I hired my graphics designer who charges me $400/hour for his work. He worked on their project for about 3 hours and produced professional, great looking images that were optimized with interior links to drive traffic from Facebook/Twitter back to their website.

I showed the graphics to Angela Rodriquez and she liked them. I asked her if I could upload them to Facebook and Twitter and she said "Yes." I guess her husband (Frank Rodriquez) didn't care for the graphics and started to get mean with me on the phone. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I offered to have my graphics person re-do the graphics and Frank declined.

Bottom line - I offered to refund their $. Even though I used their $1,000 to pay my graphics designer (so the $ would come from MY POCKET), I wanted to do "the right thing." But when I found out that they were still using my graphics on their Facebook page AND had decided to start an online slander campaign against me, I rescinded my offer. Now I'm getting threatening text messages from Frank saying "It's on!" He told our mutual friend: "Your buddy just started a war." Real professional.

We do great work, & have TONS of happy clients. For online marketing, contact http://SachsMarketingGroup.com
