I applied weeks before to become a mystery shopper. They sent a letter that said my first week's pay was enclosed and I had two assignments to do. First wire money to someone in Spain to ensure that Western Union was doing it's job. Then to buy from a department store and evaluate the customer service. It said I could keep whatever I bought. To start I simply deposit my check and when it cleared, wire the money. Cleared doesn't actually mean cleared. I get that now.

- I just received the same check in the mail. Realized it was a scam, but I wanna do something about it. I called the phone number on the bottom of the page and coincidentally, he had a very spanish accent similar to the one that would probably be found in the country they want the money sent to. Did you try to cash the check? I'm either gonna cash the check and wait until they try to contact me to do anything or I'm just gonna cash it then turn all the money over to the police. Sounds like a laundering scam to me. Glad no one's suffered any damages, but would rather not see this happen to anyone else, ya know.
