On 09 Jan 2012, I received a text message on my mobile phone +19176000887 that my cell phone has won a Euromillion Lottery in a draw. This message was sent by [email protected] coveying me congratulations and asking for sending an email to claim the prize.I sent the email and was replied accordingly that it is confirmed that my cell phone has won the prize. I furnished them my information and cell phone no. Finding no reply it is clear that this is being done by scammers for identity theft.
This is a cyber crime which should be dealtwith according to cyber crime law and the scammers be punished accordingly.
The message was from:6439. I was also informed to call+447031946126.
Update: 02/09/2012
I have a follow up message to include verification of the winning prize in shape of an email. I have copied and pasted the same.But the same is not getting though. Please suggest the medium through which the email can be attached.
