Site promised to provide a way to work from home profitably. They were convincing and cited all kinds of credible coverage from major news sources. Also the site was sent to me by someone I trust, and I have been thinking about ways to make money from home. At first the description of the application said it was free. Later, "comments" by users said they had paid a dollar. Then when I went to fill out the form they asked for $97. Don't ask me why I paid it. I went to the next page. There they asked for an additional $27 (initially saying $47, but when I declined to pay that, a page came up saying I would be charged $27). At this point I should have been aware, but they hadn't asked for any unseemly information. Next they, of course asked for $10. At this point I was suspicious, but realized the scam when that payment brought up a form asking for my SS# and car registration, along with other information. I called Visa to see if I could get the payments canceled. They said I have to fill out a form for them AND get permission from At Home Profits Solutions. I checked out many pages and found there is no way to contact them. Even the blogger has a blank profile, and then I found a scam site that listed this organization and detailed the problems with the site. I made a big mistake. I have never been remotely attracted to such sites, but I think the email, containing the url, attracted me to it, especially since I am at home right now. What makes me mad at myself is the fact that the description of the organization did originally say it was free, but then I paid these three fees. I do know what it is like to be scammed now, however.
