At approx 0715 I was logged in to Fb when I got a chat message from a Robert Perry. Being that Mr. Perry and I are long time friends I replied to him. He then commenced telling me that he'd had a terrible night because he and his wife had been robbed at gunpoint and that everything was stolen from them. He asked me if I could wire him some money($600) to settle up his hotel bill because his plane was leaving in a couple hours.
To make a long story short after giving this individual a total of $1900 he came with yet another story that he had missed the plane and needed $1800 more dollars. At this point I realized I had been scammed. Later information from the real Robert Perry revealed that his profile had been stolen which caused me to wonder that if his profile had been stolen and reported how was this individual still roaming around facebook preying on innocent victims?
I would like your assistance in this matter so that this does not happen to anyone else who are merely on the site for fun and friendly interaction with their friends. The $2486 is I wired $600 +the cost of wiring= $50.00 The next was $1300.00 and cost $93.00 to wire it. Also the $ 13000 +$93.00 came out of my credit card at 23.99% interest.
