This is the initial email:

Greetings Seller,
Do you still have the item for sale? and how long have you been using it.
Rachel Alanna.
----------
Obviously the scamer has no idea what they were trying to scam me of. I usually am suspicious of anyone that does not mention the actual item. They tend to use things like "the item" or just the word "it" without any other mention of what they are inquiring about. Here is the reply. I was already suspicious of it since there was no mention of the bike. That led me to find another scam reported on scambook from a Rachel Alanna with another Gmail email.
--------
It is still available. We bought it new a year and half ago. Please let me know if you want to try it out.
--------
And here is the response I got
--------
have love to come take a look or a visit in your place and check the item out but i am handicapped can't walk ,can you please send me some more pix of it and it's present condition??
--------
I had to laugh pretty hard at this "handicapped" (not exactly PC, "disabled" please) person trying to buy a commuter bike.
