MrAnonymous nails it right on the nail. Excellent and precise language. Well written. I also am an ex employee of this travesty of a company. Read all about it on LA Times articles. I am the 99%. The little guy just doing the best I can and taking pride in my work. All the while, my vacation/health insurance/benefits hours weren't being reported, BUT THEY WERE DEDUCTED FROM EACH PAYCHECK! The union can't or won't do a damn thing.Incredible. Whats the damn purpose of being a member of a union. But it gets worse. Also deducted from each paycheck were the usual deductions that all Americans must pay, social security, federal and state taxes, MediCal, and Unemployment Insurance. I filed for unemployment. Death and taxes you can't escape them says the saying. Turns out FTR is a magical supernatural company, whodini types that can escape all taxes, break union contracts, leap over any rules or regulations in a single bound and even cheat on reporting taxes. And I was a company man! The unemployment insurance folks told me I had hardly no wages reported for 2011, meaning I am only getting a few bucks a week. try living on 5 bucks a day. Lay me off? Cool. If there's no more work its fine. It happens in my line of work all the time. But have the basic human decency to provide me with enough reported hours to get a decent unemployment insurance check. Got news for you FTR. Its a real shocker. Now I will surprise you by telling you big secret. I AM A HUMAN BEING AND I EAT FOOD and it COSTS MONEY. So now go eat a (Inappropriate Content Removed) sandwich FTR.
