I renewed my subscription for one year at a cost $16.00. They charged my debit card $180.00 and now refuses to return my money. The money is not my only concern, i'm just so sure that they have been scamming thousands of people like this and needs to be stopped and prosecuted.I feel also that this scam should be passed along to the news media to encourage others that have been scammed by these people to come forward and let it be known.

  • I just joined AARP online, and used my credit card for the $16 membership. It is hard to imagine AARP charging the $180, but even harder to imagine that they would not refund the money. Thank you for the warning! i will be watching closely when it comes time for renewal. I hope you are able to get your money back. Go to the bank and tell them that it was an unauthorized charge. They should have a form you can fill out and submit to retrieve your money.
