Complaint 1002 Details

I clicked on a click through add that said registration was free. I was caught by the add saying the person bid on an iPad and got it for under 50.00. Since I'm interested in an iPad, I went to the site and registered. When I gave them my credit card # and my address, I thought it was in order to pay for any bid that I won. I did NOT understand that I was purchasing a bid package as they say. I've contacted them by phone and they sent me an email form for requesting a refund which they promptly denied. My credit card company also contacted then and they stated they have a no refund policy and they will not issue me a credit.
When I registered, there was no confirmation that I'd purchased anything, like ALL other online transactions I've made. I've ALWAYS had to confirm that I wanted to make the purchase.

When I realized that I would never win a bid, due to the way they keep resetting the counter, I logged off and didn't go back to the site. Throughout the time I was on the site, bidding, there were always dialog boxes offering bid packages or xx number of bids, etc, not of which I purchased. I've since gotten many of them in email. I believe this is a very deceptive website which is making all their money on people like me who in this economy are looking for a bargain. Before we realize we've been schnookered, we've got substantial charges made to our credit cards.
