While my car was parked a U-Haul truck sideswiped the driver side of the car. The leasee of the truck admitted to the police that she hit my car. Progressive Insurance the driver's personal insurance carrier denied my claim. Repwest Insurance for U-Haul also denied my claim stating "As the lessee/operator have failed to comply with the conditions of the rental agreement, liability coverage/rprotection has been denied." It is my understanding that U-Haul is required to have $10,000 coverage in New York State.
