I bought a vacation package from a telemarketer on February 14, 2013. When I tried to make reservations for the package, I was given a runaround, nobody could tell me when rooms were available, and they attempted to add in restrictions that were not in the original package. After this, I called on Feb 15 to get a refund of the entire $698. I was told by Rich Luzzi that the refund would take 30 days and would be mailed by March 15.

Still not having received the check, I called Monday 4/1 and was told Rich Luzzi was not in the office. I called back again 4/3 and found the 877-302-7085 number is not functioning - no matter what prompt you select from the menu, you get disconnected. I then called 888-528-1840 and spoke with Brian. Brian informed me that he would have to check with Rich on the status of my refund. Please note the language below regarding their guarantee and refunds:

"we also offer you a “money-back” guarantee. If within 30 calendar days from the date of this receipt you decide that for any reason you are not happy with your purchase and that you wish to give up the saving contained in this vacation package, simply notify us and be sure to provide your receipt number, and we will refund 100% of the package price you paid within 30 days from the date of your request!"

We are now 47 days from my refund request, and not only do I not have my refund, nobody can even tell me the status of it. With the number of hits received when Googling "Newport Marketing Scam," you can imagine my concern when the 877-302-7085 number only leads to disconnection.
