I was offered a loan of $2,000 via an unsolicited phone call.

I was asked to call the following number, 1-909-666-4425 to take additional information for final approval.

I called the number and there was a recording asking me to leave my name and number, but the phone then said that the recorder is full and to try back later.

When I did get a hold of Mike, he took all my information and advised me I am already approved, but I have to do one thing to prove I can make the payments. I was to get a greendot moneypak card and call him back right away. Be sure to put $269 on the card.
After that, within 45 minutes, the $2,000 would be transferred to my bank account. I asked him if the money was going to be withdrawn from my card and he said no. No upfront money was required.

So I did this, called him back and gave him the card number to verify the funds were there. Then within 45 minutes I would get the $2,000.

So in 50 minutes I checked the bank and no deposit had been made, then I checked my card and all the money had been withdrawn.

So I have been scammed out of $269.00 plus the card cost of $4.95.

I feel stupid. Is there anything you can do for me?
