Someone named "Chaney" had been calling my 81 y/o mom a couple of times a day for about a week, telling her she had won $5 million. When he got around to asking her for money ($200), we finally convinced her it was a scam. She told him we thought it was a scam and she didn't want the money. That was when he threatened to physically harm her, and that he could kill some family members in another state, because he "knew where they lived". She was so frightened she called me and the police. While I was at her apt, he called six more times in about 30 minutes. We got the number blocked, and hopefully they give up on my mom. Pathetic, to terrorize a vulnerable old person like that!
